HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Exercise is important but it is possible to lose weight by diet changes alone whereas, it is very difficult to lose by exercise alone.
If you are breast feeding, this would help with
weight loss since the body burns a lot of calories to make breast milk. It would require that you stick to healthy diet however and not use excess calories to replace what is being burnt off.
If you are not breast feeding it is still possible but you would need to choose a
diet plan that agrees with you and stick with it. The most common are the low fat/low calorie diet and low carb diet.
You can choose the one that would work best for you, there are diet plans available on line
In terms of exercise, you would need to do both
aerobic exercise and strength training to lose weight and at least 150 mins a week. This means at least 30 mins, 5 times a week is needed.
I hope this helps
