General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, there are various measures to lower body temperature such as:
@ Warm blanket coverage
@ Tepid sponging in cases of high grade fever and chills
@ Injection of high temperature such as febrinyl or others for high grade acute pyrexia
@ Tablet of Acetaminophen, Nimesulide, Ibuprofen, Diclofenac, Etoricoxib or others as per the clinician concern and choice
@ Wait and watch in cases of viral infection, as to see the effects of anti viral medications to work ahead

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
