How To Minimize The Growth Of Lumps In Lymphoma Patients?

Pet Scan revealed 3 pea-sized lumps (near groin, liver and lung). Have had chemo twice for non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Also radiation on left leg. Both were successful using Rituxson and Treander. Oncologist suggests to leave alone and have another Pet Scan in January 2016 to determine if lumps have grown. Anything I can do to minimize growth of these lumps?

lymphoma is one of the cancer with good survival rate .minimising growthof the lumps(by chemo and radiotherapy) is called inducing remission. now you are in that stage.to minimise growth of lumps you have to maintain your immunity and avoid risk factors like exposure to radiation, some chemicals like benzene, viral infections like HIV AND EPSTEIN BAR VIRUS.There are so many unknown risk factors also.it is better you join a group of people with similar ailment and discuss with them. You need to maintain balanced diet and exercise ,avoid smoking and alcohol, and keep positive attitude towards life will help in improving your immunity. In remission stage you need to go to your dr regularly and get monitored so that any recurrence will be treated immediately because delay in treatment will complicate your health.
