iam suffering from cold since a month block nose and chest congestion , i have consulted doctor who prescribe me antibiotics expectorant syrup and nasal consection Tabs , but the problem still persist iam still have bolck nose and chest congestion sinec three days i am also having cough and disturbed sleep , please advice
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have blocked nose, chest congestion, cough and disturbed sleep which is leading to sore throat is due to bacterial or viral infection and it is leading to upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. Take ibuprofen one tablet twice daily. You should take milk boiled in pinch of tumeric. You should avoid spicy food. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should get X-ray chest done and pulmonary function tests as well. You should take Levocetrizine or Senarest for better sleep and prevention of allergic reaction. Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. Throat lozanges one every 4 hours is helpful. Drink luke warm water throughout the day as it can provide relief.
