Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a sore throat beginning last Weds. it persisted until I went to the doctor on Friday, I had no temperature and my blood pressure was good but the doctor commented that my pulsox was 95% She said she noticed I had a blueness showing up on the tip of my nose. I had a rapid test for strep which came back negative, and I opted to have a blood draw performed. I was told that my blood work results came back normal. I feel congest all weekend, and still feel some congestion which makes me feel a little winded. I m not getting dizzy or anything. But feel a little winded. Am I just slowly recovering, or should I return to the doctors clinic? I have missed two days of work, and laid around most of the weekend, I am wondering if I should just stay home another day from work and rest?
Having sore throat and congestion is generally caused by a viral infection. It might be good for you to take your time to feel better, it might take a week to feel better.
Meanwhile make sure you take paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with pain and drink plenty of fluids and rest well. If you notice no improvement in 2-3 days or have any worsening you will need to see your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Antoneta Zotaj,
