How To Prevent Erythema Nodosum And Cure Cystic Acne?
I was diagnosed with erythema nodosum and my dermatologist believed it was caused by the birth control I had been taking for 5 years previously. I was taking Gianvi to help treat cystic acne. She took me off of this birth control and started me on spironolactone. I did not react well to the spironolactone. It caused me to menstruate twice a month and did not improve my cystic acne. Is there any type of birth control I could switch to that would not cause a recurrence of the erythema nodosum, but that would get my acne back under control?
I can understand your concern for erythema nodosum and cure cystic acne. After reading your query it appears to be due to pimples in yourself. Acne or pimples are youth related problem and is not a disease per say.
A gel containing clindamycin phosphate 1.2% w/w and tretinoin gel can be very helpful to you for long term. The only precaution you should follow is to apply the cream in very thin layer and that too over affected area only.
In cystic acne the best treatment is by isotretinoin capsules under strict dermatological supervision only.
Take a proper guidance and follow up with a good dermatologist so that all the problem of acne can be dealt best for future time.
Take care
