Sir I am 30 years old and live in India. I have been smoking from last 06 years, but now I want to quit it, please help me so that I do not get cancer as my smoking gift. thanking you, Jagatjyoti
There are two main ways in which you can quit smoking. One is to take medicines like bupropion or varenicline which reduce one's craving for tobacco and make it easier to quit. The other option is to stop smoking and instead take nicotine replacement products like nicotine gums to overcome the craving and withdrawal symptoms. After a few days, the use of the nicotine replacement product is gradually tapered off.
Best wishes.
