hi.my friend smokes for the past 8years... wen he tried to quit few months back,he got al depression problems.and started to continue smoking..he tried nicotine chewing gums,,but of no use.... he has will to quit but unable to..... can u suggest some remedies and deaddiction centers at chennai

It appears that your friend will find it easier to quit be using medicines like bupropion, which reduce the craving for tobacco and also have anti-depressant action. Ask him to consult any good psychiatrist in Chennai. The other thing he can do is to visit the tobacco cessation centers attached to the psychiatry department of any of the medical colleges in Chennai.
