Dear Sir/madam
Thanks for your query.
There seems to be some mis-interpretation of your lipid profile result. It is not possible to have a total cholesterol of 220 mg% and LDL cholesterol of 390 mg%.
However TG levels may be 390 mg% with total cholesterol of 220mg%. The current literature is not supportive of use of drugs other than statins in cholesterol management. So I do not use fibator in my practice.
I would also look into the cause of raised SGOT/PT before taking any decision on starting medicines for cholesterol.
I would be prudent to consult a physician about status of liver before starting any medication for cholesterol.
sincerely
