Mostly you suffer of acute over chronic OA(Osteoarthritis). You can take painkillers like Aceclofenac 100 mg/day ,take some good rest and wear kneecap while walking. You can go to physiotherapist for laser treatment and Quadriceps exercise for good long term relief. If pain persists than It is advisable to get the knee x ray done and visit orthopedic surgeon.
