I am a male who stands 6 feet, with a weight of about 356lb, have sleep apnea, frequent urinary urgencies, when drinking water or any acidic drink no matter the quantity. It goes through me and my urine comes out consistantly foamy. Now I am dieting to loose weight and have lost 24 pounds thus far. The doctors have ran a creatine test and found a high level of protien in my urine. What can I do to stop or slow the dump of protiens from urination?
In my opinion you should start Angiotensin Converting enzyme (ACE )inhibitors or Angiotensin Receptor Blocker (ARB). These drugs are reno protective in nature and helpful in diabetic nephropathy and other nephropathy. ACE inhibitors include enalapril, lisinopril, captopril etc. ARB s include temisartan, olmisartanetc. So consult your nephrologist first. CPAP therapy for sleep apnea can also add benefit for nephropathy.
