Hello sir ,my dad who is known diabetic since thirty years and suffered from right hemiparesis one year back and now he has gangrene on the right sole which is under treatment .now the prob is he is unable to sleep during nights and coughing through out the night .so pls suggest me what may the and how it can be treated..pls do consider this question..
Other causes of persistent cough are: (1) post nasal drip - this is actually the most common cause (2)asthma (3)GERD- gastroesophageal reflux disease
It may be best for him to be evaluated by his doctor to determine the cause of his cough. It would require a careful history and listening to his chest for any abnormal sounds.
I hope this helps
