my daughter is in okhlohama for the past two years she is having problem with her toes specially in winter her toes are red sometimes swollen and painful and turn purplish she is 5 2 height 39 yrs old 100 lbs wt.some body says frost bite or gangrene she had also uric acid test which was normal sometime the toes seems ok but it comes againiam very worried give me advice
Your daughter seems to be having perniosis. It is a reaction to cold. I would recommend her to keep her feet warm. Also apply topical steroid and antibiotic like cortisone cream and fusidic acid cream on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg once daily for 2 weeks.
