How To Remove Lump Which Is Causing Difficulty In Swallowing And Activating Gag Reflex?
I have a lump in my throat, making it hard to swallow. It started late last night and just came out of nowhere. It doesn't really hurt that bad and my throat isn't sore, but the lump keeps activating my gag reflex and making me sick to my stomach. I keep throwing up. Other than this I seem to be fine, except for a little bit of a post nasal drip. Do you know what is causing this and how to get rid of it? The lump seems to be getting bigger and harder and is where the Adam's apple would be. I am a 21 year old female, if that helps. Thank you
Hi and thanks for the query, Lumps in the throat deserve a careful evaluation and great attention before removal. It is necessary to know if it is a benign mass or tumoral mass or an infectious mass. This is important to know because an evaluation might be required to know if any spread has occurred by then. The opinion of an ENT specialist might be required , for ENT surgery deserves the presence of an experienced anesthesiologist. Kind regards
