I went to the Dr. On Monday for ear pain and tonsil pain on my right side. He prescribed me a nasal spray (steroid). But it cost 100.00. Today, I at school I was talking to the nurse because I am having severe pain. She wanted to take a look. She looked at my ear and said their something white in my ear. Not sure what to do. I wanted to try and remove the wax by using wax candle. Will that hurt anything if I have an infection?
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Hard wax should be dissolved with wax solvent, dewax ear drops 5 drops/5 times/5 days. Visit an ENT surgeon, it can be removed by syringing.
Please do not attempt crude methods to remove wax, it may damage ear drum.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
All the best. Take care.
