How To Stop Diprovate N Without Facing Its Withdrawal Side Effects?
Am now 24 and i m using Diprovate N for nearly 8 years on my face. When i tried to stop it, my skin turn red with burning sensation, then the skin becomes dry and falls as scalp. I found that it is a steroid. What should i do to stop the use of this cream.
1.Slowly tapering the use of the drug. 2.Use of Antihistamines. 3.Application of ice packs or cold compress. 4.Rarely antibiotics or a short course of steroids may be used if other measures are ineffective.

Hi Withdrawal side effects due to topical steroids can be prevented when used according to the prescription instructions. Long duration of drug use,drug application over face or groin can increase the risk of withdrawal side effects.
