How To Switch From Remeron To Lexapro?

Have. PD previously taken lexepro for depression and generally PD symptoms started not to work and mood worsened. Taken off and given Remeron with extreme side effects, unable to move a paralyzed effect and at the same time anxiety attack. Very scary. The dr told me to return to my lexepro. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can switch back to your old drug. Generally we start people on 10 mg after breakfast, however, this is not the rule and you must consult your primary doctor for this. The only problem with Lexapro is that it has some drug interactions so some psychiatrist would use other drugs when you are already taking more drugs. So you better discuss this with your consultant you can restart Lexapro or some other anti-depressant if not comfortable with this drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
