How To Treat Erythema Multiforme In A 35 Yr Old Who Is On Steroid Therapy And Who Has History Of Recurring Vesciles In Mouth And Body?
Hi Doctor,
I am 35 year old lady on steroid therapy from 2 years. Now I am suffering from Erythema multiforme as diagnosed in impression result of histopathology. I have history of Recurrent onset of vesicles in mouth and whole body surface which gets cured after therapy with prednisolone ( upto 8 mg/ day) and Kenocort 0.1% oral cream and other supportive drugs. But when the dose of prednisolone used @4mg/day it gets reoccurs. Now my doctor added one more drug cyclosporin (yet tobe start).

In my view you are suffering from autoimmune disorder.
To control the autoimmune disorder steroid (prednisolone) is first choice.
If they do not work than other immunosuppresant is used.
Cyclosporin is one of the such drug.
It is appropriate to use cyclosporin as steroid have lot of side effects.
