Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son is a heroin addict. I found a round, peach pill, u30. Can you help me identify it. How does it interact with heroin? I m wondering if he takes this when he is out of heroin. He s been in 8 facilities in the last 12 months. The doctors keep letting him out after 30 days and he goes right back to heroin. WE found out one year ago that he was doing it and had been doing it at the time 3 years.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
I'm sorry to hear about your son's struggles with heroin addiction. The pill you described, "u30," does not match the description of any known medication. It may be a street drug or a counterfeit pill. I would recommend taking medicine to a local pharmacy or hospital to have it identified and to seek professional help for your son's addiction.
Heroin is a highly addictive opioid drug that can lead to physical dependence and withdrawal symptoms when use is stopped. It's essential to seek professional treatment and support for addiction recovery, as it can be a complex and challenging process. It may be helpful to look into longer-term treatment options, such as inpatient rehab or medication-assisted treatment, and to explore different types of support, such as therapy and support groups.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
