How To Treat A Cut In Finger And Nail While Chopping Plants?

my dad was chopping some plants in the backyard and cut the tip of his left thumb a quarter of an inch down through his nail with a machete. we're low on money and not sure if its absolutely necessary to go to the hospital. its hard for him to clean it but he did the best he could. should we got to the hospital?

I advice you to visit ER and get proper wound cleaning and stichng if needed. Inj TT and some antibiotics or ointment as per your doctor advice.
