How To Treat A Painful, Swollen Hip (Greater Trochanter) Following An Accident?
My left hip is painful nearly 24 / 7 and I notice a bulge on the Greater Trochanter compared to the right side. This problem has progressively worse over the past 10 years. I fell off a later (@28 feet) and severe bruising on the left side with major pain at the time of the accident. I was given a shot by the doctor about 6 months after the accident and it help but time has been a nemesis to the problem. Am I looking hip surgery or can this be remedied in some other way?

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist, Jenis Bhalavat's Response
you haven't mentioned about your X-ray reports. if not done then please get it done as it will confirm any old fracture in your hip region. also avoid taking weight on your leg as this will aggravate the problem. Hope you find this helpful,in case you can contact me any time
