How To Treat A Wound On My Quad That Does Not Heal?

I have a wound on my quad the started out smaller than it is. It is somewhat open and will not heal. It bleeds every now and then but not continously. The skin around it is hot and red. The base of the wound is very hard but the skin on top is almost liquid. The open part is about the size of a quarter and the whole thing the size of a half dollar. I usually have a very good immune system and have never had an infection before.
