How To Treat Abscessed Tooth?
Hello , I think I have an abscessed tooth , the right side of my upper gums and my right cheek are a little swollen and a little painful ... I ve rinsed with salt and warm water a few times , I just put some orajel on it ... I m wondering should I put a hot or cold compress on the area ? Should I be drinking hot or cold fluids ? Do you have any other suggestions for treating this at home? Also it is New Year s Eve after all , is it ok for me to have a glass or two of wine during the festivities ?

It seems that you might be having developing apical abscess and require one course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine for 5 days.
Without antibiotic it is not going to improve.
Do cold compression on the part.
You can take hot or cold drinks.

Well come to HCM
If this is the tooth infection then this need to be treated properly first then one can think about the diet, but important is treatment, with the inflammatory process of teeth cold drink may increased the sensation and so this is not advisable, you can not treat this condition with any of home remedy better to see the dentist, take care.
