Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 55, just acquired acute psoriasis and am wondering if this is secondary to a disease my dermatologist hasn t thought of. I do not drink, don t have a family history of psoriasis and have never had it before. Is there something else we should be looking into? It is so severe, I have tried four different medications, including humara and nothing is effective.
Psoriasis is a chronic disease. It will be better during summer and worse in winter. There is no definitive treatment for it except for using creams that soften the scales and patches.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Klarida Papaqako, General & Family Physician
