hello Sir, I am suffering from chronic halitosis, it has badly effected my life. My doctor seems clueless, I have my tonsils taken out, still there is puss in my throat. Do you think my condition is treatable, and if so, then what type of tests and medications may be helpful. yours sincerely Haider

Hi, thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

Pus in the throat might be a reason for foul smell coming from throat.

It would be advisable to have a test called throat swab for culture and sensitivity to find out that the pus is caused due to which bacteria and which antibiotic is helpful against this infection.

Dental infection, sinus infection, Acid reflux, indigestion, etc can also lead to foul smell in the mouth and if present, they need to be corrected.

Hope this answers your question.Take care
