Hi Doc, I am facing some symptoms as spinning of head, nausea, vomiting sensation. I had consulted with doctor and he told me that I have vertigo issue. he gave me some medicines as Vertin*16 (3 times a day),Defcort(twice a day) with 5 days prescription. I have taking medicine since last 2 days, but my symptoms increased. now I am facing severe vertigo all the day. can u please suggest me some tests or medication?
As per you have problem of vertigo which is increasing day by day even after taking medicine for the same . Well there can be many reasons for vertigo , bu the most common is anxiety and the other Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) are ear infection , hypoglycemia , anemia , meniere's disease , migraine and alteration in he blood circulation . Your doctor has prescribed anti histamine and glucocorticoid, prescribed for anti-inflammatory conditions, and used as an immunosuppressant . Continue taking thses medicines and consult ENT specialist again for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order test like rotatory chair test , head movement test , posturography and CT scan . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , sedatives , antibiotics and recommend balance therapy or physiotherapy . Doctor may also recommend vetibular therapy .For now do not bend forward and drink green tea thrice a day .
