How To Treat Ear Inflammation And Pain?

I GOT SEA WATER WHILE SNORKELLING IN EGYPT A MONTH AGO, INSTANTLY MY EAR WAS BLOCKED AND I COULD NOT HEAR. A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO I STARTED GETTING KNIFE LIKE PAIN IN MY EARS AND STILL COULD NOT HEAR. THE DOCTOR SAID THERE WAS A BIT OF INFLAMMATION AND PRESCRIBED OTOSPORIN WHICH I HAVE BEEN USING 3 TIMES A DAY FOR ONE WEEK, BUT THE EAR IS BECOMING MORE PAINFUL!! AND I STILL CANNOT HEAR OUT OF THE EAR.
