How To Treat Ear Problems In A Child?
Dear Dr.,
My cousin has a baby, 10 months old and he has a deficiency on his right ear and we not sure if he can hear well from this other ear...we are looking to see a good and affordable doctor to help her with doing a surgery later on and not sure what would be the best time for the baby to go for an OP and straighten his little ear.

Regarding your query for suspition of hearing problem in your child of 10 months, I would like to suggest you consult ENT doctor and audiologist for thorough examination of his ear and than these basic investigations-
1- Otoacoustic emmition test (OAE test)
2- BERA test.
both above tests are very simple and are performed by all audiological centres. Thus by above line of action every thing about your child's hearing will be clear and further line of action may be decided.
