I have frequent headaches and enlarged tonsils (though an ENT recently examined me and was not concerned with their size). I have recurring tooth pain in the upper right molars that makes my entire face hurt, with pain transference to my lower right front teeth. A dentist previously prescribed two different antibiotics to treat this. I also have pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear which began over two years ago. I had an MRI to rule out a possible glomus jugulare tumor. I frequently feel unwell and am wondering if chronic sinus problems could be responsible for my symptoms. I also thought it was interesting that the tooth pain and ear whooshing are both on the right side of my head. Due to the chronic nature and previous treatment I doubt it is a sinus infection, but could these problems still be sinus related? If so, what is the likely problem and treatment? (I take over-the-counter allergy medicine and decongestants).
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of enlarged tonsils , pain in teeth and tinnitus which seems to be due to bacterial or viral infection which is leading to tonsillitis and ear infection , which spread from pharynx to ear through eustachian tube due to post nasal drip due to sinusitis or upper respiratory track infection . I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles. You should take antibiotic Ciorofloxacin for 5days. You should take antiallergic medication. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get examination of tonsils done , throat swab test , viral culture test , hearing test and examination with otoscope and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages. Take steam several times a day .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
