hi i am a 37 yr old male, 6 foot 8 and was diagnoised with chf & left ventricle non compaction 6 months ago.low ef of 15% , just had icd implanted 3 months ago. I am suffering with not being able to get it up or keep it up. is viagra the only answer or is there something else i can do.
Dear service user, Thanks for writing. I understand your concern of erectile dysfunction most probably secondary to Congestive Heart Failure. Viagra (Sildenafil) is not the only option. Sildenafil can cause significant adverse effect to patients who are on medication used for CHF. It may fall the blood pressure and may cause falls, headache, dizziness and syncope. There are number of other treatment options. These are as follows 1. Injected, implanted, or topically applied medications 2. External vacuum and constriction devices 3. Surgery (the last resort, when all fail to help you.) Kindly consult urosurgeon for this.
