How To Treat Fever In Kids?
8yr ok child with fever of 102 for 6 days severe headache and sore throat. Day 6 turns for worse with higher fever, severe pain in throat and white patches. Day two tested for strep and was negative. Has had tonsils out but white spots on and around area.

Hi there.
It is quite possible that he might be having an upper respiratory infection. Since symptoms have lasted more than 6 days, he might need to take a course of antibiotics. Do consult his paediatrician regarding the same.
Let him do salt water gargles. Drink plenty of warm fluids.
