How To Treat High Fever ,dehydration And Vomiting?
My boyfriend has the flu or something really bad. Yesterday he was vomiting ever 45 minutes, that settled down, and last night he started running a fever. It's been spiking up and down to 101-102 with tylenol. He's dehydrated and I'm just not sure what to do. I have taken him to the student health center twice but they didn't really do anything except give him powerade. Should I take him in?

HI,
Water with salt & sugar should be given orally/IV drip to control dehydration.
High grade fever needs Tab. paracetamol along with Ranitidine 8 hourly after food, High grade fever can be managed by cold water& salt compress.
In case the fever is not controlled/vomiting makes him dehydrated,he should be taken to ER for care under a doctor's supervision.
