How To Treat Iron Deficiency And Avoid Over Dose?

My doctor said that my iron levels are really low and that i will need to take iron 3 times a day for 3 months and then go back for another blood test to see where I'm at. I am taking Slow Fe 45mg 3 times a day and I also changed my diet for a high iron one. Am I at risk for iron overdose?
