Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi.. i have delevoped rashes on hands and feet (basically ulcers) due to drug allergy. My doctor has given diprovate g plus to apply on rashes. However sometimes i cant resist itching on rashes. Is there any other option which can give me some relief on these rash.
Diprovate cream is very good to be applied on the rash. Along with it, oral antihistamines are recommended to decrease the itching and scratching. They are Diphenhydramine, Fexofenadine, Cetirizine etc. These drugs are to be taken daily twice.
Sedation is an adverse effect of these drugs. So high concentration activities like driving are not recommended. Tab. Benadryl to be taken orally twice daily would be very helpful in decreasing itching and redness.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Along with Diprobate G plus topical application, you can take tab. Benadryl for 3 days which is an antihistamine and helps reduce itching. You can also apply calamine lotion for a soothing effect on rash.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
