How To Treat Numbness Of My Throat,soft Palette And Back Of Tongue?

I have had a numbness in my throat, soft palette and the back of my tongue since October 2009, this has also be accompanied by the loss of my gag reflex!
I am genuinely concerned now would appreciate any advice from you.
I was admitted to hospital in Oct and put on a NG tube as my swallow became very difficult, this has improved although sometimes I still get a feeling that I am unable to swallow my own saliva. I have spoken to my GP again regarding this but everyone seems to be baffled.....I do have Antiphospholipid Syndrome.
