Hi,

Here the points to be considered are:

-In a normal pregnancy the corpus luteum of pregnancy in the ovary will be present to secrete the required hormones in early pregnancy till the placenta takeovers the function. This can appear as an ovarian cyst in ultrasound. Once placenta takeovers the function it will resolve. Usually Duphaston containing dydrogesterone helps to maintain the pregnancy by giving progesterone support.

-Ectopic preganancy can also present as an ovarian cyst with elevated blood beta HCG levels. It can be ruled out with serial beta HCG levels at 48 hours interval.

So, now you need follow up with beta HCG levels and repeat ultrasound. Then, depending on the findings you can continue according to your doctor's advice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
