How To Treat Pain And Swelling In Eye Caused Due To A Draining Stye?
I have a stye in both of my eyes. Due to warm compresses, one of the styes opened up today and began draining. It has continued to drain. I thought I would feel relief, but it isn t still really swollen and feels like a rock in my eye. What should I do at this point to avoid extra infection and pain? I visited an optometrist yesterday and was perscribed antibiotic/cortisone combination ointment.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read your description and understand your concern. Kindly use the antibiotic/cortisone ointment as prescribed. Continue with warm compression. Take antiinflammatory Tablet.Ibuprofen twice daily after food for swelling and pain to reduce. Along with it you can also put Flurbiprofen eye drops thrice a day until the symptoms subside. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
