Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 66 yr old male, have been exercising regularly at a gym while recuperating from total knee replacement Feb., 2013. A few weeks ago I began having pain in both forearms. It becomes so severe there are several of the exercises I can no longer tolerate. For example lifting any weight at all. My arms continue to have pain at home even when not exercising, (writing for husband)!
Hi, At this age heavy exercises like weight lifting is not advisable as it can increase cardiac load might give some cardiac problem. You got this problem due to having degenerative changes in joint and muscles ocurring at this age. Go for light exercises like slow walking, swimming. Take calcium, vitamin A and D supplements. Ok and take care.
