Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hi. I can understand your concern.
He is mostly having tuberculosis and will require evaluation with a chest x ray blood test and sputum examination. It would be advisable to consult a pulmonologist at the earliest.Any organ can involve with TB.Pulmonary TB usually presents with chronic cough more than 2 weeks duration, loss of appetite, loss of weight, evening fever.
If you are having pulmonary TB and have not taken treatment for TB before, then you will require 6 months of anti-TB medicines. Along with that you will require nutritional supplements. If taken regularly TB will be cured.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
