How To Treat Painful Nose Blisters Developed As A Side Effect Of Zpack Taken For Sinus Infection?
I went to the doctor Wednesday with a sinus infection. He gave me a zpack and Thursday morning I awoke with a fever. By noon Friday, I noticed small blisters on the outside of my nostrils, seemed they went inside as well. I felt as if my nose had been running when it really hadn t been. I called the doctor late Friday afternoon and he had me stop the zpack and start the acyclovir, five times a day. Is there anything I can do to relieve the pain of the blisters on my nose. Now I have an area that is just as painful on my left thumb, blisters and very painful. What can I do?
It sounds like your doctor is treating you for herpes zoster, also known as shingles. Shingles is often very very painful. In many cases, over-the-counter pain medication is not helpful.
My advice is to request a prescription for pain medication from your doctor.
