How To Treat Presence Of Pus And Epithelial Cells In Urine?
I am a female and 23 years old.For last 1 month ,I was having pain at the end of urination and then burning sensation in pelvic area and frequent urge to urinate. Then I took a urine test and there came 3-4 pus cells 2-3 epithelial cells and calcium oxolate crystals present .And now i am on medication for few days but in evening i again go through the symptoms while whole day I am ok...Plz can you suggest me ,or is it harmful or not?
You have not mentioned about the treatment you are following. You have most likely been diagnosed with urinary tract infection(uti). If the common antimicrobial drugs are not working you may need a culture antibiotic sensitivity as there is increased drug resistance among these pathologies. Again you may take plenty water and alkasol syrup along with water at bed time which may help in symptomatic relief. Calcium oxalate crystals may be found in dehydration, uti. But persistence of this in urine increases the chance of having kidney stones in later life. Avoiding animal protein diet, high oxalate food and diet riched with fruits, vegetables, fluids decrease the chance of having urinary calcium oxalate crystals.
