Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How To Treat Recurring Boils In Armpits And Buttocks?
I have recurring boils in my armpits and buttocks in the past two months. Strangely they do not form pus but are hard itchy and painful. The first boils disappeared in three to four week, but the hard lumps did not disappear completely. Others appear nearby
The symptoms seem to be related to folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicle. I recommend using an antibacterial soap for cleaning the skin. I also suggest using an antibiotic cream for local application such as Neosporin cream.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
