How To Treat Red Dots Around Rib Cage And Upper Thighs?

I recently ran outside during high humidity. I have developed little red dots around my lower mid section and upper thighs as well as around my rib cage where my heart rate monitor was strapped. The dots are not raised, they do not itch and are not bothersome. What is this and how can I treat it and prevent it in the future?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a fungal infection.
These infections are normal in high humidity levels. I recommend to use an antifungal cream for local application such as Fluconazole cream. I also suggest to maintain the area dry and avoid humidity.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
