How To Treat Rotavirus Infection?
hello
my son who is 7 month old now got infected with rotavirus in last month but now from last 3 days again he is passing green color loose motion and today blood was there along with motion. and right now he is having throat infection which went into chest and sound is comign from cheat as well. please suggest what to do. he is vomiting 2-3 times in a day at least. please suggest what to do. right now i;m giving prospan for cough and omnicef antibiotic for chest and throat infection. but i;m afrid why he is doing loose motion same like he was doing during rota virus. please suggest.

Rotavirus infection uptill now might have subsided.
Probably some other infection has taken place(Possibly bacterial infection).
Needs to be stool culture and sensitivity done. and accordingly can be given relevant antibiotic for eradication of the infection.
Hand to mouth hygiene should be taken care of strictly. Which is very very common at this age juncture and very important cause of infection.
RTI can be treated with antihistaminic and decongestant drug.
