I have acid reflux, and I've had it for four years. I started taking Nexium but wasn't helping me. They prescribed Lansoprozole 30 mg. I've been taking that pill for three years, and it's been about five months that I stopped eating fatty foods, spicy foods, whole milk, anything that contains tomatoes, coffee, and my favorite food chocolate. I've always been a size 4 or 5, I'm now wearing a size 2. I still suffer from acid reflux, it's not as bad though. But my question is will I always have acid reflux? My gastroenterologist said I'm a candidate for surgery. If I have this surgery will my acid reflux stop. I will no longer have pain in my throat and my lymph notes won't be swollen and I won't have that burning sensation on my throat and ears? And will I be able to eat the foods that make me sick now?
