Hi, I'm a 23 y/o Male 5'4'' 125lbs.About a week ago I started having a dull ache in my low back on my right side that ran into my right buttock, strange muscle fatigue in part of my quad and calf, and a generally strange feeling in the outside of my right foot. The ache subsided, but the muscle fatigue and strange feeling in my foot seem to come and go (seems worse when I'm anxious). A few days ago a similar pattern arose in my right arm, no pain, but a skin crawling just outside my shoulder blade running into my elbow, outside forearm, wrist, and little finger. It lasted a few hours, but i think my little finger still feels strange. Today I've had dull headaches, first on the left side, similar to a sinus headache. It lasted about an hour. Now I have a similar feeling on my right side.
I have terrible health anxiety. I called my Dr. He's not worried but I feel like until I get an MRI I won't be able to stop thinking I have a brian tumor. Is that ridiculous?
What should I do?
An after hours clinic gave me .25mg Xanax for the anxiety (my worst symptom I think) last night to get me to my appt. on Tuesday. It takes the edge off for a few hours but doesn't last the 6-8 hours the dosage recommends. I love my doctor and trust his opinion completely but can't shake this anxiety. I obsessively search for symptoms on the internet and freak myself out. Are my symptoms at all like those of serious neurological conditions? This being unilateral and in the same kind of outside of my foot and hand pattern make me nervous that it has to do with my brain. Am I crazy for wanting an MRI?
