Hi,
Complete recovery of shingles takes 3-5 weeks. The time may be prolonged, in case of of advanced age, immunocompromised people or severe infections. Treatment consists of antiviral medication with anti inflammatory drugs and strong pain medicines like Gabapentin, if needful. Earlier the treatment starts better is recovery. Please consult your physician to get examined, get assessed the severity and dosage and suitable medicines according to severity.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
