How To Treat Sore Throat And Lumps In Throat After Having Unsafe Oral Sex?

Doctor, I had a new sexual partner in the last week. I performed unprotected oral sex on her and I developed a sore throat 2 days later. The weather has been rapidly changing and I've has a little training so I chalked it up to that and just took some over the counter throat medicine. It worked and the pain was relieved. However, It has been exactly a week and I have developed small pumps white/yellow in color in my throat. I also have puss like substance on my tongue and roof of my mouth. I have has no signs of cold sores or break outs but I now have a burning sensation deep in my throat/very upper chest when swallowing. I am very fatigued and feel myself getting weaker. I have had a very appetite because of personal issues causing stress and anxiety in my life and the appetite issue has been on going. I went to the doctor and mentioned the above and they gave me medrol dose back and said to come back if it's not gone in a week. I am very nervous and it's causing me more anxiety on top of what I'm already going through. I don't feel right at all. I have no fever or headaches. No diarrhea or stomach pains. My stomach feels uneasy but I chalk that up to not eating correctly. I worked out today and felt very very tired very quickly and had to stop. Any ideas?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain white/yellow pustules at the back of throat along with over tongue and roof of mouth and pain seems to be probably due to a severe case of bacterial throat infection known as Strep Throat..
White pustules are pus pockets that further confirms towards bacterial infection..

It does not seems to be due to sexually transmitted infection as it happened two days after unprotected oral sex as mostly the sexually transmitted infection takes a week or so to occur due to incubation period that is symptom free period in between the exposure to infection and occurrence of symptoms..

For confirmation consult an Otolaryngologist or an ENT expert and get evaluated..
He can do investigations like Throat swab culture can help in diagnosis..

You can be advised:
-Antibiotics like Augmentin OR Azithromycin to resolve the infection..
-Anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen can be taken to relive pain. -----Doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in your room can be very much relieving.
-You can also suck throat lozenges to soothe the throat..
-Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
-Gargle with antiseptic solution like few drops of betadine in water..
-Chew Vitamin C pellets to boost up the immunity..
-Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
