How To Treat Tear In Cervix Caused After Having Intercourse?
My daughter might have a tear in her cervix due to intercourse, she has been heavily bleeding for 4 days now and can not get a straight answer from 2 doctors she has seen.One of the doctors told her she probably needs stitches but she is to be put on a waiting list for weeks or months.I m very worried and concerned that her cervix will be more damaged due to waiting, she is only 18 years old. I don t know what to do, I d very much appreciate some advice thankyou.

If the tear is extensive and as the doctor suggested she needs stitches,then in my view the stitches in time is the best solution.But as there are putting her on waiting list,this is what you can do for temporary solutions.To stop the bleeding,a pressure bandage,put ointments over the place which also help hinder the bleeding and get her transamine tablets 500mg thrice daily that help stop the bleed.Giver her iron supplementations too.Avoid too much moving,or pressure while peeing.Get her complete bed rest.Take care of hygiene.No intercourse unless she heals completely.Above all get her appointment from the gynecologist for the stitches if possible.
