How To Treat Tenderness And Dent In Thigh Muscles Caused After Injury?

I recently had a deep tissue injury associated with large bruising, tenderness, and some muscle pain and soreness to my thigh from a surfing incident. Although the bruising discoloration has dissipated there is still some residual tenderness approximately 5 weeks following the initial injury. More alarming is that I now have what I can only describe as a fairly large dent in the muscle. Is there anything I should do or can do?

Hello,

The residual mild tenderness in the area can be related to a deep tissue injury. This is likely to improve on its own in next few weeks. Rest and regular hot compress in the area will help.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal, Orthopedic Surgeon
